If you are looking for perfect corkscrew curls, that hold, this is fantastic!
I felt I had to share a review of the Lee Stafford’s original chopstick styler as it has been absolutely brilliant and is now an essential item in my daughter’s dance hair and make up box. Before Christmas my daughter and her friends were lucky enough to dance with a professional ballet company and some of them needed their hair in ringlets. Many conversations were had between the ‘Dance Mum’s’ / hairdressers about the best way to create tight ringlets without them falling out. I’m not the greatest hair styler and so when I saw this in Argos, with nearly 1400 (!) good reviews, I thought it would be the best present for my daughter for future shows and competitions.
My daughter’s hair is long, dead straight and quite fine, so any curling in the past has been pretty unsuccessful but this really works! After the first go, she refused to brush her hair for 2 days to keep the ringlets in, as they hadn’t dropped. It is also quite attractive in a shocking pink colour and comes with a protection glove to prevent you from burning yourself – it heats up very quickly. I would recommend this to anyone looking for corkscrew curls or ringlets but I think it will particularly appeal to pre-teen and teenagers. Despite offering the protective glove, I am not ready to let my 10 yr old daughter use this by herself, as it does get extremely hot – I would recommend parental supervision for youngsters. At £19.99 from Argos, it’s a great buy.
