Update:  Now Limited Edition with cute panda print – available at

One of the most popular areas of enquiry we receive at Hairdryer Advisor is regarding Children’s and teen’s hairdryers and so we are always on the look out for new offerings.  It helps that we also have a fair few parents of tween / teen girls in the team who are always happy to offer their views on products!  This limited edition Sloth print kit from Mark Hill was actually brought to our attention by one of the girls who had it on their Christmas list.  The kit includes a 2000W hairdryer with a cool shot button and nozzle; 230ºC straighteners with floating plate and a Paddle brush – useful for tangly hair.

The cute and colourful design of the 3 products, and the box they come in, will certainly appeal to 11-17 year olds but may be also some adults! Available at Boots, Mark Hill offer a wide range of affordable hairdryers and straighteners which in our opinion are not market-leading but they tend to be good value products that will last you a couple of years or so.  Perfect for teens with ever-changing wants and needs.

So on to feedback from the 14 year old recipient of this limited edition set  – ‘ I love it!’ were her initial comments.  Thrilled that she no longer needed to share a hairdryer with her older sister and also to have her first set of straighteners, she has been looking rather glam during lockdown 😉  Her hair does look lovely (smooth and sleek) and the hairdryer offers the power and settings she needs.

For £69.99 we feel this offers good value as a present for a tween or teen, as if you bought similar Mark Hill products individually, you would pay considerably more.  We would always encourage parents to keep an eye on kids using hairdryers and hair straighteners especially ensuring they have time to cool down somewhere safe after use.
