Dyson are now known as the forerunner of innovation with regards to electrical hair products and so there was much hype when they launched their latest haircare product in March 2020.  Within months of launch, the Dyson Corrale™ hair straighteners had won the Vogue Beauty Award Winner for ‘Best Hair Innovation Tool’ of 2020 and we could not wait to try them!!   Having loved the award-winning Dyson Supersonic hair dryer in 2016 and the exceptional Dyson Airwrap styler 2 years later,  our team was very excited to give these hair straighteners a go.

So, did they live up to our expectations?  Well, the short answer is YES!  Exactly what a busy working Mum needs.  They heat up quickly and despite using a lower heat to prevent damage to my hair, it reduce my frizz in no time. After using the corrale, my hair feels soft, smooth and no longer fly away.  I love the fact it is cordless too.  It does feel a little heavy but with no cord getting in the way, it is easy to handle whether I am straightening my hair or trying to put waves in it.  It offers about 30mins styling, which works for my fine, medium length hair but remember to put it back on charge for next time.  It would be ideal to have a longer battery life but you can’t have everything and for me this is a minor issue as I can always re-charge or use the corrale with a cord if I forget.  Given that I have kids and animals in the house, I also feel reassured that there is a safety feature that means the straighteners automatically turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity.  Unfortunately, given we live in ‘covid’ times, I haven’t had a chance to take my Dyson Corrale on holiday yet but I’m thrilled I can.  Offering universal voltage and a flight-ready feature it is all ready for a trip.

Feedback from friends suggests that the Corrale is a big hit regardless of your hair type.  To be honest, I’ve hardly heard about bad word about it except for the price.  It does cost a small fortune at £399 and firmly sits in the luxury category.  I think I would still consider them great value for money though as I just love their ease of use and ‘straight out of the salon ‘ they offer.
